Mebrahtu Brhan Gebre
Mebrahtu Brhan Gebre is the Project Manager and Consultant for the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman. He joined the MIC@M as project coordinator for the IFAD-Managing Risks for Rural Development (MRRD) project in Ethiopia in 2019. He also worked for MIC@M as an in-country research coordinator for the UNDP-Inclusive Insurance and Risk Financing facility in Ethiopia.
Experience
Prior to joining the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman, Mebrahtu worked for the United Nations World Food Programme as a Monitoring and Evaluation focal person for the Resilience and Livelihood Programme of WFP Tigray Area Office, Ethiopia. Mebrahtu also worked as a senior researcher and lecturer of Environmental, Resource, and Development Economics for about 10 years at Mekelle University, one of the top universities in Ethiopia. Mebrahtu has a strong background in Economics and Agriculture.
