Experience
Government health care programs have relied on Greg for over 15 years to provide his actuarial and consulting experience. Together, they have fulfilled financial, compliance, and membership retention and growth goals year after year. Clients include state Medicaid agencies, sister state agencies, Medicaid managed care organizations, local and national Medicare Advantage plans, provider organizations, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Greg has helped state Medicaid agencies achieve their annual results by combining his strategic insight with fully transparent rate setting. Along the way, Greg is an educator who helps clients achieve managed care stability by understanding, navigating, and integrating the constant flow of CMS regulations and stakeholder inputs.
Greg gained invaluable experience in partnering with two states to help achieve their multi-year policy goals by implementing new managed care programs. One state included transitioning the full Medicaid population to an acute managed care program and the subsequent introduction of managed care for the expansion population. For another state, he helped create a specialized program for individuals with significant behavioral health needs, developmental disabilities, and intellectual disabilities.
Greg has also partnered with some provider organizations to improve their understanding of market opportunities by sharing utilization and cost benchmark projections, fee schedule comparisons, and learning about value-based payment systems.
