
Missy Gordon
Missy Gordon is a principal and consulting actuary with the Minneapolis office of Milliman. She joined the firm in 2003.
Experience
Missy specializes in long-term care (LTC) insurance. She is an expert in pricing and in-force management, including experience analyses, financial projections, compliance issues, and state insurance department rate filings. Missy also assists clients with hybrid life/LTC products, actuarial appraisals, financial reporting, valuation, and asset adequacy testing.
Missy has extensive experience in predictive modeling of LTC experience. She has been at the forefront of the industry, actively speaking at conferences and workshops.
Missy assists multiple clients with experience analyses. She has managed Milliman’s firm-level research that utilizes data scientists and predictive analytics to analyze LTC industry experience and develop first principles assumptions and claim cost guidelines.
Missy helped develop and is a leader of Milliman’s LTC Advanced Risk Analytics (LARA) product (www.milliman.com/LARA). LARA provides key insight into LTC morbidity risks using predictive models, social determinants of health data, and prescription drug and medical records. Missy assists Milliman LARA clients in devising and implementing industry-leading wellness programs with LTC insurance policyholders.
