Mark Gaffney

Mark's experience is primarily in the life assurance field across both the Irish domestic and cross-border life assurance markets, with more than 17 years of industry experience. His expertise spans the full range of life actuarial disciplines, including product development and pricing, dynamic hedging, capital management, valuations, and reporting under multiple risk-based capital regimes, as well as IFRS 17, across unit-linked, protection, variable annuity, and with-profits business.

At Milliman, Mark leads the actuarial reporting function for the Dublin practice's largest client, where he oversees the ongoing delivery of financial and regulatory reporting and the provision of actuarial services to a life insurer operating across multiple international jurisdictions.

Prior to joining Milliman, Mark spent nine years with Generali in Switzerland and Ireland, most recently as IFRS 17 Life Actuarial Lead, and began his career at Standard Life.
