Current Responsibility

Aisling is a senior consultant in Milliman’s Dublin office. She joined the firm in 2006.


Aisling has more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry having worked with Prudential International Assurance and PwC Consulting prior to joining Milliman.

Aisling's experience is primarily in the life assurance field in both the domestic and cross-border life assurance markets. She has led a wide range of life consulting assignments with a diverse range of clients. Her experience covers Solvency II, financial reporting, life assurance product development, and strategic consulting work, e.g., the establishment of new life companies.

Aisling has significant Solvency II knowledge and has supported clients in meeting Solvency II requirements across the three pillars. In particular she has extensive experience in leading the development or review of models for Solvency II technical provisions and SCR calculations. Aisling’s Solvency II experience includes:

  • Technical Provision calculations and validations for undertakings with life, non-life and health business
  • SCR calculations and validations including life, non-life and health modules
  • Preparing Own Risk and Solvency Assessment documentation and calculations
  • Providing training on Solvency II requirements
  • Preparation of various policies required as part of Solvency II System of Governance

In the pension field, Aisling has produced several reports on public sector and state pensions for clients.

Aisling is an active member of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland and was most recently on a working party reviewing the need for Solvency II guidance in relation to data quality assessment. Aisling is also a member of the Retrospective on Solvency II working party of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
