Gillian Tucker
Gillian Tucker is a consulting actuary in Milliman’s Dublin office. Gillian joined the Dublin practice in 2008.
Experience
Gillian’s experience is primarily in the life assurance field in both the Irish domestic and cross-border life assurance markets. Her expertise includes valuation and financial reporting, developing, maintaining, and validating actuarial modelling systems, risk management, capital modelling, financial projections, embedded value, and other consulting work. She has worked on a variety of portfolios of business including unit-linked business, non-linked business, and variable annuity business.
Gillian has in-depth Solvency II knowledge and experience and has supported clients in meeting Solvency II requirements across the three pillars. She also has experience of the IFRS and MCEV reporting regimes.
Gillian has extensive actuarial modelling experience. She has been involved in the development, ongoing maintenance, and validation of actuarial models in both MoSes and Prophet.
Gillian is a member of the Milliman IFRS 17 Working Group which is keeping up to date on developments of IFRS 17. She has written a number of papers on IFRS 17.
She is also keeping up to date on developments in the area of Data Science and has written a number of papers on this topic.
