In December 2021, the Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) released its Cross Industry Guidance on Operational Resilience. This guidance requires firms to identify and address their operational vulnerabilities in order to be able to efficiently respond to and recover from any disruption that affects important business processes.

This briefing note discusses the guidelines put in place to assist firms on their journey to operational resilience as well as outlining the challenges which must be overcome in doing so.
