Edward Mout
Edward Mout is a consultant in Milliman's Düsseldorf office. He transitioned to the position of Consultant in September 2023, after working as an intern for the practice since August 2022. His work focuses on the migration of policies to new administration systems. Edward's responsibilities include:
- Confirmation and transfer of actuarial tables for active policies
- Transfer of costs from old systems to new systems
- Quality control of documentation of tarif value formulae and calculations
- Customization of archival information interfaces
Experience
Since beginning as a consultant with Milliman, Edward has co-authored a report on the differences in policy administration in a selection of countries in the EU.
Edward began his internship with Milliman in 2022, fulfilling requirements for his master's degree program in Mathematical Finance with Christian Albrecht University of Kiel. In the course of his studies, he has become knowledgable in a variety of financial and mathematical subjects, such as stochastic processes, the mathematics of financial markets, foreign exchange markets, interest rates, and quantitative risk management.
Prior to beginning his degree program in mathematical finance, Edward had a 15-year career as a professional classical opera and concert singer, with engagements in major international opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera of New York, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Glyndebourne Opera Festival, Opéra de Nice, Deutsche Oper am Rhein, Hannover Staatsoper, and Staatstheater Nürnberg.
