Analysis of Solvency and Financial Condition Reports for non-life insurers based in Ireland: Year-end 2022
This report summarises the information included in the solvency and financial condition reports (SFCRs) for year-end 2022, published in 2023 by non-life insurers based in Ireland.
Under Solvency II, European insurers and reinsurers are required to publish Solvency and Financial Condition Reports (SFCRs). In this report, we have produced information for 2022 using the SFCRs, which contain a significant amount of information, including details on business performance, risk profile, and balance sheet and capital position. The SFCRs also have quantitative information in their public Quantitative Reporting Templates (QRTs), which are also required by regulators. We discuss the long-term guarantee and transitional measures, and analyse the following:
- Irish non-life insurers
- Premiums
- Investments
- Solvency coverage
